Fractional laser skin resurfacing is effective with doctor in Walnut Creek
By Dr. Christine Lee
Fractional lasers don’t treat the surface of the skin alone, yet they don’t remove tissue as a means of penetrating deeper layers of skin. This approach treats outermost skin and underlying tissues, but does so safely and effectively without removing tissues. Traditional full resurfacing or ablative lasers do away with the outermost layers of skin. Fractional lasers in experienced hands at the Skin and Laser Treatment Institute create tiny “microspots,” or small areas of injury. This controlled damage stimulates collagen remodeling. As the production of firming collagen is stimulated, you’ll notice a more refreshed and youthful appearance and texture.
Depending on your needs, Dr. Lee may recommend one of the following fractional procedures:
- ActiveFX — For wrinkles, fine lines, scars, hyperpigmentation, and enhanced “glow” and tone
- DeepFX — For more severe creases and lines, including deeper wrinkling around the lips
- TotalFX — A “combination” treatment that treats deeper scarring and furrows while improving dryness and uneven coloration

Don’t sacrifice effectiveness for a time-consuming technique. Likewise, you don’t have to go through drastic treatments to get the results you’re after. Call (925) 500-1180 to schedule a consultation and find out more about the fractional approach.
